The Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Customs Regulation in the Republic of Kazakhstan" has been amended and supplemented in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development of the capital and cities of National significance, national projects, entrepreneurship and optimization of functions of state bodies" dated July 17, 2025 No. 213-VIII SAM (hereinafter – the Law).

The law is put into effect after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication (Egemen Kazakhstan newspaper" № № 134 (31114), 18.07.2025; Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper" № № 134 (30512), 18.07.2025), that is, since 07/29/2025.

In particular, the Law introduced the following amendments and additions:

–  Articles 2, 18, 453, as well as a new article 18-1 have been introduced regarding the procedure for creating and equipping mobile groups and stopping motor vehicles outside customs control zones;

– to Articles 12 and 402 on granting customs authorities the authority to carry out transport control at the places of delivery of goods at the end of the customs procedure of customs transit;

– Articles 411, 416-1 and 480 on certain verification issues (according to the procedure for conducting an inspection of customs and other documents and (or) information, the delivery of a notification of the results of the complaint, the introduction of an additional gross violation, which is the basis for canceling the results of the customs inspection).
